A recent study reveals that bans on flavored e-cigarettes may lead to an increase in tobacco cigarette use among young adults. The research, conducted by scholars from institutions including San Diego State University, was funded by a grant from Global Action to End Smoking. The findings show that flavor restrictions result in decreased youth vaping but an unintended rise in combustible cigarette smoking among 18- to 20-year-olds.
