Bala has extensive experience in managing grants and other funds, procuring medical supplies, and providing accounting support to corporate, government, and international social development organizations in Asia and Africa. Prior to joining the organization, he was the Regional Contracts Coordinator at the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (The Union), where he managed more than 130 public health grants (US $61 million) for 65 associations (governments, nongovernment organizations, community-based organizations, and other institutions). Bala successfully negotiated, monitored, supported, and managed these grants for implementation in 17 countries in Asia, Europe, and Africa.
Bala earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Madurai Kamaraj University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management (PGDFM) from Annamalai University. Both Universities are affiliated under Federal State Government of Tamil Nādu, India.
Bala is fluent in Tamil, Hindi, English and resides in New Delhi, India.
